Dot Map

http://www.bbc.co.uk/scotland/learning/bitesize/standard/geography/population/distribution_density_rev1.shtml

This is a Dot Map of the world showing the population distribution of the world and also the concentration of people.  Some areas show "no people" but there are people.  The scale is too large to show them on the map. As you can see, one dot represents 100,000 people.
