Bivariate choropleth maps



Bivariate Choropleth maps display two variables on a map combining two different sets of graphic symbols or shadings. This map shows Vote percentage difference in 2004 as related to Voter Turnout.  Different colors are used for the two candidates and different shades of those colors are used to show how the different percentages.  Faces are used to show voter turnout as a percent of voting age population.
